Buying such a property is much different than a regular arm’s length transaction between a seller and buyer. A seller who have not been able to make his or hers payment’s on their home is in default to the bank which means the bank will most likely make a loss on their investment. To avoid further damage the bank will have to sell the home to the highest bidder but most likely below current market value.
